As one of the top mid day meal NGOs in India, Annamrita works to amplify the government’s initiative of supporting children with nutritious meals at schools on a regular basis. This helps free children from the vicious cycle of illiteracy and malnutrition. Its PM poshan yojana operates in municipal, government-aided, and unaided schools for the benefit of underprivileged children.
As non-aided schools are not under the government’s mid-day meal scheme, so Annamrita supports the project by fundraising. We know that motivating others to donate is not easy. However, Annamrita is benefitted by multiple schemes and incentives made by the government like corporate social responsibility (CSR). This makes it mandatory for companies with a specific turnover and net profit to invest some portion of their earnings in a social cause. This reduces the burden of fundraising and helps us regulate the mid day meal requirements on time.
The PM poshan yojana benefits are available to needy students of all religions, castes, creeds or genders without any discrimination and without commercial interest.
Hygiene is a serious thing for Annamrita and our kitchens reflect that. By focusing on cost, quality and delivery, we make sure that every meal that leaves our kitchens is handled carefully as per the FSMS standards and adds to the child’s health. Our raw materials and ingredients go through a rigorous inspection and are sorted for quantity and quality standards as per FIFO.
